Only 9 working days to go!! And 3 weeks from today, Mike and I will be basking in the .. erm sun in sunny London!!
Aren't you jealous? You should be, this move has been a looong time in coming and I'm so excited!
On another note - my baby brother will be touring the UK from next Monday. He is part of the Natal Midlands invitation
junior cricket side. For 2 weeks he gets to hang out with his friends, playing the sport he loves and seeing a new country!
Definately a hard life. But, he does deserve it - especially if it means that I'll get to see his name up on the SA team board
someday. For the record, his name is Stephen Blanché, so keep an eye out for his name!

South Africa must have some of the most frustrating government institutions around.
It can apparently take up to 18 months to get an unabridged birth certificate and marriage certificate
from our archives in Pretoria.
18 months!!! Are they crazy? That is one hell of a long time - even for the government!

Its been a while but so much has been happening that I just didn't know where to start :-)
Michael and I have finally started making our final preparations for leaving SA and going to London. Tickets have
been bought and paid for and we leave on 7 July at 20:15pm.
Al had originally offered his lounge floor to us until we found our own place but now it turns out that his current flatmates
have decided to go their seperate ways and we are going to take their place. Which is fantastic because it means that before
we even arrive we already have accomodation. Its a huge weight off of our shoulders and its made me even more excited and ready to leave!
I have spent the last 2 week-ends visiting members of my family who I don't see very often just to say good-bye. Strangely enough
in most cases its not very difficult to do. The hard goodbye's are still coming, I think I may make friends with uncle Prozac just to
get through those ....
I'm leaving some very special people (you know who you are) and I can't begin to describe how much I'm going to miss you.
I wish that I could take all of you with me!!

Mike and I drove down to Nelspruit on Friday to spend the week-end with my father. He lives at a mountain retreat
in Kaapmuiden, which is about 40kms otherside of Nelspruit. The farm is called Boondocks and it is such a beautiful place!
Depsite the 4 hour trip there and another 4 hours to come home, its still a very relaxing break. A week-end feels like
a week in that place :-).
Its such a pity that so few South Africans get to see how lovely the Low Veld is (outside of the Kruger Park).

I'm in the process of catching up on a whole lot of writing. There is only
a 3 year back log so it really shouldn't take that long!
I was considering holding back on filling this page with nonsense, but after receiving this advise from Rory,
"Don't hold back. You'll really enjoy coming back and reading what you wrote years from now. :)", I've decided
to keep on going until I run out of things to say....

Went to Sunny Side up yesterday with the girls - Nicky and Yogs. It was loads
of fun, and I was lucky enough to bump into two good friends of mine, Anton
& Diricia.
Today was spent lying on the couch, finishing my book (oh so lazy!). Michael and I
had a lovely day doing absolutely nothing. Heaven!!

thing so I guess all that I can ask for is for a little bit of patience as I find my
way around. Things may not be ideal, but hell, they're getting there!!

This morning at 7:35am, Erynne Jade Bell made her first appearance, weighing in at 3.73kgs! All my love to her parents,
Lee and Warren who were both amazing!
Its amazing how beautiful mother and daughter looked despite a difficult 5.5 hours of labour. They took my breath away, and
still do, everytime I see them together.
